Heartford Estate Branch Sewer

Heartford Estate Branch Sewer

Cossill & Webley provided project management, detailed design, and construction supervision services for the delivery of over 900 metres of branch sewer infrastructure in Donnybrook, Victoria, servicing approximately 134 hectares of subdivision development.

The scope included 65 hectares of gravity sewer and 69 hectares requiring a sewer pump station. A key challenge involved crossing the busy Donnybrook Road to connect into an existing 600mm diameter sewer located more than 10 metres deep. This was successfully achieved using laser-guided trenchless boring techniques, minimising surface disruption. The design strategically maximised gravity sewer coverage while optimising sewer depths and was also future-proofed to allow for a future crossing under the APA gas pipeline.

Located within Melbourne’s Northern Growth Corridor, the project was delivered on time and within budget, meeting all authority requirements.
