Averley – Princes Highway Intersection

Averley – Princes Highway Intersection

Cossill & Webley provided project management, design, and construction supervision for a major intersection project in Pakenham East, Victoria, designed to connect two key connector roads with Princes Highway. This critical piece of infrastructure supports the servicing and access for over 2,000 residential lots located on both the northern and southern sides of the highway.

The intersection was designed to accommodate traffic volumes of up to 10,000 vehicles per day, forming part of a broader precinct expected to generate more than 60,000 vehicle movements daily. A key technical challenge involved the design and construction of the connector road over two major transmission gas pipelines, requiring careful coordination and engineering oversight to ensure safety and compliance.

This intersection plays a vital role in enabling the delivery of two large-scale developments and supporting long-term growth in the Pakenham East Precinct.
