Findonview Main Drain and Waterway

Cossill & Webley were engaged for the design and construction supervision of a major drainage and waterway infrastructure project in Wollert, Victoria. The project included the installation of 200 metres of 1650mm diameter Melbourne Water Main Drain, 350 metres of constructed waterway within the Findon Creek reserve, and a sediment basin to capture gross pollutants prior to stormwater entering the waterway.

A key challenge was the requirement to negotiate landowner access for stormwater to freely drain onto the downstream property. Cossill & Webley successfully negotiated with Council to allow works to proceed prior to the access agreement being executed, which brought forward construction commencement by several months.
