Haven is a boutique medium-density community by Stockland, offering a connected inner-city lifestyle just 11km from Melbourne’s CBD. Nestled in the heart of Altona North, this thoughtfully designed neighbourhood combines urban convenience with the charm of a residential retreat -surrounded by shops, schools, parks, and just minutes from the bay.

Cossill & Webley was engaged to provide civil engineering design and superintendence services for the original 276-lot townhouse development. Stockland subsequently entered into an agreement with the adjoining landowner to add another approximately 200 townhouses to the project. Our scope of work included the coordination and design of key enabling infrastructure, such as demolition and site remediation, the undergrounding of overhead powerlines, and the delivery of branch sewer works – all critical to facilitating the construction of dwellings by the land developer.

The flat topography of the site combined with the historic drainage system and plethora of existing services on the adjoining roads required Cossill & Webley to meticulously design road and service connections to unlock development within the site.

Working closely with Stockland and project stakeholders, Cossill & Webley played a key role in delivering the infrastructure required to bring this vibrant, inner-urban community to life.
